If you enjoy outdoor pursuits and adventure, in the area around La Manga Club and in the Region of Murcia as a whole, you will be in your element. Lofty peaks or leafy valleys, coast or interior, rivers or reservoirs… The possibilities are endless and the weather couldn’t be better.
Water
It is precisely when it comes to water sports that the Region of Murcia’s lovely weather is most appreciated. With 252 km of coast, two seas (the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor), more than 3000 hours of sun a year and mild temperatures, the region is the ideal destination virtually all year round.
Every bit as exciting is the experience that awaits in the depths of the Costa Cálida’s underwater world, which is ideal for scuba diving and snorkelling. There are numerous diving schools in the area, so even those who have never dived will soon be exploring underwater, whilst qualified divers can dive amongst wrecks or in the Cabo de Palos - Islas Hormigas Marine Reserve.
Inland, in the interior of the region, the River Segura and various reservoirs provide the setting for fresh water sports such as river rafting, canoeing, fishing and more.
Land
Hill walking, trekking or mountain biking amid stunning Mediterranean landscapes are all available on the outskirts of La Manga Club. Further afield, elsewhere in the Region of Murcia the options include rock climbing, caving and a network of recreational routes and long-distance footpaths.
Air
Paragliding, hang-gliding and zip wiring are yet more of the options this region offers.
There are a number of companies that specialise in the organisation of such activities.
